Gladys Jimenez is a video editor who was born in Washington D.C. and moved with her parents to Los Angeles when she was 3 years old. Her parents are from Central America, making Gladys a first-generation American. Gladys edits on Avid, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro software. As well as editing video podcasts for Alicia at Equilibria since 2020, she edits TV shows, commercials, show ideas, music videos and social media content. Gladys is bilingual, so she edits in Spanish as well as English.One of her most memorable moments was working for Westbrook where she worked on “Red Table Talk: The Estefans”. This bilingual show aired on Facebook in 2021 and was emmy-nominated for “Outstanding Informative Talk Show”. Gladys moved to Colorado to work on a TV show called “ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss” and decided to move there from 2015-2020, She got the opportunity to teach Avid classes at the Colorado Film School in Aurora. Among the TV shows she’s edited for, her shows have aired on ABC, HGTV, Univision, MTV, Discovery and WE TV. Her most memorable shows have been editing for “Buzzfeed”, “Kendra Sells Hollywood”, “MTV’s No Filter”, “Biggest Loser”, “ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss”, “LA Hair”, “Building Alaska”, “MTV’s Kingin’ with Tyga” and “Tiny House Big, Living”. Gladys found that this career was a place where she could express her creativity, dive into music, sound design, and bring stories to life with picture and sound.
